Annuity Product Training

Fidelity & Guaranty Life requires producers to be knowledgeable about our products. Producers will need to complete on-line product specific training prior to soliciting our products and before an annuity application may be solicited. Any application solicited prior to completion of the training will be rejected. To get started on your Annuity Product Training refer to: Required Annuity Product Training.

Mandatory Annuity Suitability Continuing Education Certificate Requirement

Fidelity & Guaranty Life also monitors each agent's General & Annuity Suitability CE Training status by state in adherence with the State Insurance regulations. States that have adopted the revised NAIC Model Regulation on Suitability in Annuity Transactions require agents to complete a one-time 4-hour CE training.   Resident and non-resident producers must fulfill the CE requirement prior to solicitation of a Fidelity & Guaranty Life annuity product. Refer to the State and Product Training Grid  for current state requirements.

 What Does This Mean?

The Company considers this a state specific requirement and it will be enforced on that basis.  This means Company-appointed producers must complete this state specific requirement if any state in which they are licensed adopts this portion of the Revised Model. To the extent any state adopts a grace period for implementation of this one-time course, the Company will honor the grace period. For example, the Revised Model permits existing agents a grace period of six months. Business will be rejected from Company producers failing to complete the four hour annuity course within the respective state’s grace period.  This course is in addition to any general education courses required by the state.   Fidelity & Guaranty Life will not process any new agent appointments resident and non-resident and will not accept new business until the Annuity CE Suitability certification requirement has been received.  To verify if a state adopted the NAIC Model Regulation on Suitability in Annuity Transactions, please refer to the State and Product Training Grid  or contact the state website.  If you have questions, you can contact us at 1-800-445-6758 or email us at

Anti-Money Laundering Training (AML)

The LIMRA web-based training module was developed in conjunction with insurance compliance professionals. It is available on demand and requires 30 to 45 minutes to complete. Information covered in the course includes: What is money laundering and why do I need to know about it? How does money laundering occur in the insurance and securities industries? What are my responsibilities to prevent money laundering?
